During its four years of service to the Confederacy, 1489 men of all
ages passed through the ranks of the 37TH Virginia Infantry, at one time or another. Of this number 124
were Killed in Action or Mortally Wounded.
125 died of other causes. This established a death rate of 16. 7 per cent.
